I heard God as he spoke to me tonight
He told me a poem I had to write
For there is someone out there
Whose heart is filled with despair.

Alone in their house they sit
All teary eyed they get
Easy their life has not been
Their pain has been buried within.



They feel the walls closing in
Their room is in full spin
No matter what they do they cannot win
For the life of them they don't know where to begin.

When they think everything will be okay
Something else comes along their way
Robbing them of another day
Within themselves they decide to stay.



Outside in life they do not want to be
Inside of their house is all they see
For the world has caused them much pain
Behind closed doors they choose to remain.

God wanted me to tell this certain someone
There is no need for them to run
He knows your heartache weighs a ton
And so much damage He knows has been done.



He is laying his hands upon your heart
He is restoring each and every part
That has remained lost for so long
Making you feel like you do not belong.

He is giving you the ingredients you need
So no longer your wounds will bleed
He is working in your life today
So you will be able to find your way.



Feel him in the depths of your heart and your soul
At this very moment He is making your body whole
For so long your pain has been what was in control
Leaving you with nothing to be able to console.

Step out into the sunlight and you will see
From your restraints you have been set free
Do not be afraid of what exists outside
He wants His love to now be your guide.
