Today I found this purple rose So rare and tucked away, Its beauty was beyond compare This rose I bought today. Its color was so brilliant While showing evidence of dew, Such a perfect gift, "I thought" For a lady as pretty as you. This stunning gift of purple In black crystal soon will stand, Alone with a touch of baby breath Which I'll place upon your hand. Attached you'll find a card That's black but etched with gold, Inside I've written these appropriate words Of which this purple rose unfolds. "P"............. Stands for your purity Like the falling of virgin snow, Your decency and modesty Are qualities I only know. "U" .............. Is for understanding Besides showing that you care, For to accept the one that gives this rose You believe in me to share. "R" ............. To me represents romantic Which you apply every time you 're near, Your affection and warmth bestow you In my heart these feelings I hear. "P" ............ This finally stands for purple A descriptive name I've used for years, Please accept this rose I give to you From the heart and held back with tears. "L" .............. Is for the love you have And this comes from the inside, Your heart and soul give everything For there is nothing they try and hide. "E" ...............
