When things in our life do not go as planned
Instantly we blame God and we no longer hold onto his hand
We automatically think He has turned on us
So in Him no longer do we place our trust

We have the tendency to feel for us He does not care
Because when we need Him the most He seems not to be there
We take matters into our own hands refusing to talk to him through prayer
Even though our burdens are too heavy for us to bear

We roll our eyes at the mention of His name
His mercy, His love, His grace no longer do we claim
For we do not see Him working in our life
Our faith, our hope no longer burns a flame

We fail to realize we are the ones who have walked away
Because results we do not see when to Him we pray
We feel as if we deserve the things that came along our way
So by His side is where we decide not to stay

What we need to know within the depth of our heart
Is when we give Him our problems it's only then He will do His part
Until we place our life wholeheartedly in the palm of His hand
On our own two feet we will never be able to stand

Regardless of the amount of problems we may have
All He wants us to do is surrender them to Him
And all we have to do is bow our head and pray
For Him to make a difference in our life today.
