Alone in life I have spent
Wishing I too had someone to love
Whose heart would be content
With what my heart consisted of.

A love in which I longed to share
That would never cause a heart despair
A love that would forever repair
The burdens that were too hard to bear.

I would have someone to confide in
About the things I held deep within
Happiness is what my love would bring
Which would and could out last anything.

But that special someone never came my way
Oh how I prayed to God each and every day
To take this loneliness in my heart away
And fill it with a song that would forever play.

As the days turned into months
And the months turned into years
I still wished I had a special someone
To dry my lonely and sad tears.

Through out my daily walk in life
I have learned one important thing
I do have someone who truly cares
I found this special someone through a prayer.

It may not be the kind of love I often dreamt of
But this kind of love exists in the heavens above
All of these years I thought I was alone
Because I remained to live on my own.

God's love has fulfilled my lonely heart
In ways I never thought it could be;
So when I begin to feel like I am alone
I am reminded of the love God has for me.
