She stood sobbing by the casket,
At her sweet little angels face,
The only child that she had born,
Lay cold in her pink satin lace.
Beneath her grief she felt anger,
And betrayed by the Lord above,
"Why would He take my little girl",
"When I believed He was a God of love".
With trembling hand she touched the cheek,
Of a daughter she would see no more,
Her husband stooped to pick her up,
As she lay screaming on the floor!
"I hate you God"! "You are not there"!
"Why have you tormented my soul"!
Those words reflected an inner pain,
Far greater than what we know.
And later that night while laying in bed,
The mother's tears continued to fall,
The suddenly she heard a voice,
Coming from down the hall!
She followed the voice to her daughter's room,
And slowly peered through the door,
The room was filled with Angels,
Which she had never seen before!
Her little daughter's face was smiling,
Surrounded by children her age,
They all wore wings of golden fleece,
Above their heads a silver haze!
"Mommy....don't be angry at Jesus",
"Nor blame Him for your loss",
"He simply wanted me here with Him",
"To save you a terrible cost".
"God has saved me from a life of pain",
"Of which you were not aware",
"You see Mommy...the headaches I had",
"There were tumors growing there"!
The mother felt God's hand in hers,
As she fell on her knees to pray,
"Forgive me Father for doubting your love",
"I am grateful you saved her this way"!
