~~ Me And God ~~

Little cares never bother me
They fled with yesterday
Near the fields close by the sea
Where the happy wind doth play

Beauty of the grazing fields
Swaying branches of the trees
Listen to the singing birds
And buzzing of the bees.

Don't fear what might happen
I sent thoughts on their way
Resting on the scented grass
Watch the mowing of the hay

Among the husking by the barn
Sun flowers bend and nod
Negative thoughts replaced by good
While in the fields with God.

~~ Reap What You Sow ~~

We sometimes reach a certain place
Where answers cannot be found
It's hard to see tomorrow
With confusion all around.

Deep inside I think we know
That most things work for the good
Even those times when we've been hurt
And feel we are not understood.

Dwell not on the unjust of it all
Focus deep within your heart
If you can forgive and just move on
And make a brand new start.

Life is much too short you see
So just live day by day
Sow kindness and understanding
Reap you harvest along life's way.

~~ Special Child ~~

I sit here with a heavy heart
Although I'm full of pride
The fear is overwhelming
That much I must confide.

My child is a soldier
I'm proud as I can be
But it just wouldn't be normal
To not want my child with me.

A strong and brave soldier
Who is prepared to die
And doesn't know how many hours
I sit at home and cry.

The scent of danger everywhere
Death knocking at each door
My heart is very heavy
And the tears flow even more.

I send a prayer to you my child
Sent with all my love
That you will soon be safely home
I pray this to our Lord above.

~~ Lost Child ~~

I know in my heart I have lost my way
Can hardly make it through each day
At every turn my thoughts turn to you
The tears wont stop I don't know what to do.

I think I am waiting for the day
When all my pain will just vanish, go away
My dearest child I miss you so
Why God took you I'll never know.

We should not question what he may do
Yet it was so hard when he came for you
Never had a chance to live
So very much love you still had to give.

Someday I'll be with you, please watch for me
Then we will be together for eternity
My heart will mend where it's broken in two
When I come to Heaven to be with you.

~~ My Precious Grandma ~~

Grandma I still remember
Though years have passed us by
You were always ready to dry my tears
When something made me cry.

You'd scratch my back and stroked my hair
With hands as soft as cotton
The precious love from your touch
Will never be forgotten.

Grandma you were always close by
With so much love to give
Your actions reflected the way you felt
The way you would always live.

Although you never had much
But an abundance of everlasting love
You would read your bible every day
And teach me of your God above.

I miss you oh so very much more
Then words could ever say
I pray that I'll be with you
In Heaven some sweet day.

~~ Showered In Love ~~

Lord you gave me a purpose
To trust you and believe
And cherish every moment
All the blessings I receive.

I am on a special mission
A chance to start anew
Dissolve the bad things I have done
That disappointed you.

Take me Lord and guide me
So I may be worthy too
Teach me the things I need to know
Show me just what to do.

I was deep in despair
You came to my rescue
Accepting me the way I am
Made me more worthy of you.

Now I am bathed in sunshine
You touched me from above
Gave me a life worth living
And showered me with love.

~~ A Time For Us ~~

We have had a busy life
Devoted to family and each other
And now I feel that we should take
Some time for one another.

The years are fleeting at their best
I wonder where they go
First it's hot the flowers bloom
And then comes winter snow.

Children grow and leave us
How sad when those days arrive
And yet to watch them spread their wings
Proud of successes they derive.

Now Senior years are finally here
No more hustle no more fuss
Yes, honey I guess we can finally say
This is a time for us.

~~ Sparkle Of A Friend ~~

I saw a lovely shinning star
One dark and lonely night
I thought of all its brilliance
As the sparkle was so bright.

A feeling suddenly came over me
As it became so clear
The beauty of a lovely star
Like your friendship is so dear.

In the depth of darkness
Only that star I could see
Like you were out there somewhere
Looking down at me.

I had to express my feeling's
In this message that I send
That you are thought of day and night
My very special friend.

~~ My Prayer ~~

Today I'd like to say a prayer
For those I hold so dear
And let them know I love them
Each day throughout the year.

I think about them very much
Yet sometimes I fail to say
The words that mean a lot to me
I like to hear each day.

Often times I simply lack
The words expressing my love
That's when I sometimes have to ask
Help from up above.

Should never wait until it's too late
To show just how I feel
I ask the Lord to help me
Express words I'd like to reveal.

Love is much too easy
To show in some small way
I pray for the help that I may need
To spread my love today.
