~~ A Firefighters Prayer ~~

I make this promise to you today
To help all those in need
I promise all the courage I have
To fulfill each and every deed.

I'll find the strength to do my work
Whatever comes my way
No matter what the burden may be
I will never turn away.

The strength of heart and body
The wisdom to combat my fear
The Lord will always be with me
He guides me, his voice I hear.

I promise love and compassion
As a fireman I stand tall
But most of all my devotion
To swiftly answer every call.

~~ Policeman's Prayer ~~

As I perform my duties
And do my very best
To keep my fellowman from harm
And put their mind to rest.

Use my skills and judgment
To help and honor mankind
Please keep me safe from danger
God's face I'll always find.

I give my life to my work
Some people don't understand
As I face danger and fear each day
I help my fellow man.

I stand ready at each and every call
Not looking for glory each day
Yet putting my life on the line
And paving a safer way

So when you see a policeman
Ask God to watch him from above
For he is out there protecting you
He needs your support and your love.

~~ Count Your Blessings ~~

Have you tried to talk to Jesus
Have you opened up your heart
He wants us to come to him
So he can do his part.

Living in a world of fear
So much worry and so much stress
Is it any wonder
That our life is such a mess.

Some people often wonder
How can we make things right
We must battle our demons
The obstacles we must fight.

A plate full of kindness
A cup full of love
A little prayer now and then
And help from up above.

So count your blessings and thank Him
Not for things you want, but have
No matter how large or small
He will make your heart feel glad.

Times are unpredictable
He is testing us to be strong
False prophets wont overtake us
Together we can prove them wrong.

So say a prayer today my friend
Help is on the way
It's hard to understand this
But our faith is here to stay.

~~ EMS Prayer ~~

Whatever the call Lord
Whatever I must do
Dangers that are big and Small
You will see me through.

I vow to do my very best
Pray my judgment be quick and keen
The calling to give of myself
No matter what the scene.

Forget how very tired we are
He gives us strength from fear
There are never any stumbling
For God is always near.

There is a job that we must do
And only a precious few
To always lend a helping hand
God be with us in all we do.

~~ So Dear To Me ~~

There is someone so very sweet
So very dear and kind
Someone I put my trust in
It is a friend of Mine.

Someone that likes me for myself
Don't have to be what I'm not
I prayed that I would find such a friend
And that is just what I got.

I've been to the top of the mountain
Where rainbows wash the sky
I've been in the deepest valley
Just watching my life pass me by.

Now I have a special friend
To lean on when times are bad
Someone I can depend on
The best friend I ever had.

So thank you my friend from deep in my heart
For your kindness and your love
I pray that God will bless you
From his mansion in Heaven above.

~~ House That Love Built ~~

So many memories to enjoy
Of happy days gone by
Where children's laughter echoes
The aroma of apple pie.

Each child born so special
Raising and nurturing with love
Watch them spread their little wings
One by one like a graceful dove.

The days were always busy
Going their separate ways
The nights they lay in slumber
I would lift up my thanks in praise.

Holidays were so wonderful
My cup over runneth with joy
The children were all so happy
Lots of teasing they would employ.

We lived in a house that love built
A home so full of love
The memories I hold close to my heart
And thank our Father above.

~~ Tingling Laughter ~~

Laughter of my grandchildren
Like music to my ears
Fun when we're together
No scolding from their peers.

Playing games or dancing
Doing what they love to do
Makes us all feel young again
Makes us happy too.

Children grow up much too fast
No time to be a child
Keep them close around you
Meet the challenge with a smile.

When they grow up they wont forget
The dream you made come true
They will remember all the fun
They ever had with you.
