~~ It's Hard To Say Goodbye ~~
When God sees fit to take someone
So very close and dear
Please know that he is with you
Through your worries and your fear.
He doesn't take them forever
Though it may seem that way to you
You had them longer than he did
So now he wants them too.
You will be with them
Someday in Heaven above
And you will live forever
In an everlasting love.
We never want our loved ones
To suffer not for one day
He removes all pain from them
When they go with him to stay.
He doesn't mean to make you sad
Or break your heart in two
You also are his child dear one
And Jesus also loves you.
There is no way that's easy
When it's time to say good by
Show them your love before they go
They live, they do not die.

~~ My Dad My Friend ~~
The time has come to tell you Dad
Just what you mean to me
Someone I love with all my heart
How dear you'll always be.
Whenever I had a problem
And didn't know what to do
You lifted the burden from my heart
I knew I could come to you.
I could never fathom
Life without you Dad
You are my inspiration
A friend I've always had.
From a child of tender years
You taught me oh so much
You made me feel so special
With your kind and loving touch.
There use to be a time you know
When I would come to you
You'd take me in your loving arms
You knew just what to do.
To make my sad times go away
And happiness appear
You made me feel so special
You wiped away my tears.
As year go by and life goes on
I just want you to know
My feelings will never change dear Dad
Because I love you so.

~~ Our Golden Wedding Day ~~
Well, here we are my dearest
On our Golden Wedding Day
We have been together all these years
So much I want to say.
First of all you are wonderful
Thoughtful, kind and sweet
A friend anyone would like to have
But often never meet.
We have reached a milestone now my love
Good times and bad times too
Life dishes that out to everyone
And some can't see it through.
We did it and I'm so glad we did
You are so dear to me
My friend and my companion
You will always be.
As we celebrate this wonderful occasion
I thank the Lord above
For giving us this time together
For it's you I'll always love.

Lady In White
~~
A lady in white is so precious
A lover of mankind to behold
Her steps she treads so lightly
She rescued me from the cold.
She comes in the depth of darkness
Flows with the light of each day
Her courage shines like a moonlit sky
Expelling a bright golden ray.
Hold my hand dear lady
And wipe my weary tears
Just stay by my side and comfort me
Your nearness dissipates all my fears.
I dedicate this to all nurses
Angels of mercy they wait for their call
I pray Jesus hold them in his arms
Bless their courage one and all.

~~ Generations Of Love ~~
I can remember when
So many years ago
I loved to play dress ups
And put on a fashion show.
Vintage clothes from that old trunk
I would rummage through
Such beautiful things I thought back then
You would think them lovely too.
Generations have gone by
Times have changed so much
It seems our times don't seem to have
That very special touch.
Back then we were contented
To enjoy such very small things
Like paper dolls and marbles
And the closeness a family brings.
Never in a hurry
No one strayed from home
Never complained when times were rough
Life had a simple tone.
Our children may never know
Of those wonderful days
But God has a way of working
In his most mysterious ways.
Happiness and health makes us happy
Material things not a must
Love your family and your God
And in him you place your trust.

Home Is Where The Heart Is ~~
So many memories to enjoy
Of happy days gone by
Where children's laughter echoes
The aroma of apple pie.
Each child born so special
Raised and nurtured with so much love
Watching them spread their little wings
One by one like a graceful dove.
The days were always busy
Going their separate ways
At night they lay in slumber
I would lift up my thanks in praise.
Holidays were so special
My cup runneth over with joy
The children were all so happy
Lots of teasing they would employ.
A home is where the heart is
One that is full of love
The memories I hold close within my heart
And thank my Father above.

My Friend ~~
My grandma is so special
She means so much to me
I love to watch her quilt and sew
While I sat beside her knee.
She tells me lots of stories
About when she was very small
Some are very funny
Some sad as I recall.
I help grandma in the kitchen
Making cookies, baking bread
Or watering flowers outside
Pulling weeds from flower beds.
Sometimes we have some lemonade
When we get tired and hot
One thing that I can say for sure
She's the best friend that I've got.
I love my grandma very much
She's loving, sweet and kind
I've got the bestest grandma
That you will ever find.

~~ Never Alone
~~
You are our special hero
Someone so dear and true
You risk your life to keep us free
We send this prayer to you.
Please be with my friends dear Lord
Wherever they may be
Watch over them, protect them
May your veil of love they see.
If they are in a strange land
Or just a state away
Let them know we love them
Bring them safely home to stay.
War is not what we wish for
Sometimes we have no choice
Don't think the silence fool us
For we can hear your voice.
Fear, worry of the unknown
You deal with day and night
We know that you will never give up
Until we win the fight.
We pray for your safety
That you will be steadfast and strong
Coming home is your vision
I pray that day wont be long.
So thank you brave men and women
No matter where you are
You are loved and appreciated
You are the very best by far.
