~~ A Quiet Talk ~~

An Answered Prayer by Robert Meyers

I had a talk with Jesus as I knelt on bended knee
The Angels stood around us an awesome sight to see.
We talked about heaven how thing's were up there
And how to fix the earth he made with tender loving care.

He said the damage could be repaired with effort and with love
He said that he would help us from his Heavenly Home above.
I said Lord will you kindly help our men and women at war?
And those that's living with you now you met them at your door?

Be with their friends and families the worry is hard to bear
We pray a daily prayer my Lord you'll keep them in your care.

Children ~~

Art by Jean Monti

The love of a child is so precious
It cannot be bought or sold
A gift to keep forever
More precious than silver or gold.

Just always try to remember
They are with us every day
No matter if they are in our home
Or living far away.

Their laughter fills an empty house
They make a cold day warm
Rainbows and sunshine is always near
Helping to weather any storm.

A child is a priceless gift of love
God gave us from above
One to cherish and care for
And give unconditional love.

Be thankful for your children
Someday they will be on their own
Let them know they are welcome
That your house will always be their home.

~~ They Need To Know ~~

Art by Greg Olsen

Some children never understand
About some things in life
Like broken homes, war and fear
Life's struggle's and life's strife.

We never thought the time would come
To make them grow up fast
Well now it's here and they must learn
That childhood cannot last.

Mom and Dad's are shipping out
To danger's far away
It is a daily worry friend
About what we must say.

It seems to me our children
Must grow up much too quick
And bear the hardship's of their life
This isn't what they would pick.

So hold them in your arms my friend
The years go by too fast
Just tell them that you love them
For their childhood just wont last.

~~ Never Far Apart ~~

I Am With You Always by Nathan Greene

My mother lives in heaven
She use to live with me
Her precious touch her angel face
No longer will I see.

My mother lives in heaven
No more pain and no more tears
Her love, her strength and kindness
Will remain throughout the years.

Save a place for me dear mother
Someday I will meet you there
We will have a great reunion
Without worry or a care.

So many precious memories
I hold within my heart
You might live up in heaven
But we are never far apart.

~~ Loving Angels ~~

Art by Sandra Kuck

An Angel touched my cheek today
How do I know you say?
I felt it's gentle feather touch
While on my bed I lay.

I knew it was an Angel
A vision to behold,
Dressed in white with feathered wings
And hair as pure as gold.

It told me not to be afraid
That it was bringing love,
That it was sent to me by God
From heaven up above.

What an utter joy to know
God watches over me,
With tender love and tender care
Contented I will be.

So if you see an Angel
Please open up your heart,
They only come to bless you
They are never far apart.

~~ He Watches Over Me ~~

God take my hand and guide me
Along life's weary way,
Just light the path before me
Please see that I don't stray;

I'm so tired and weary
With strife and discontent,
My life has been a struggle
My body has been spent;

My children are so precious
To leave them makes me cry,
I pray that they will understand
And meet me by and by;

So keep me in your tender care
Don't make me walk alone,
Just watch for me dear Father
As I meet you at your throne.

~~ I Miss You Dad ~~

Art by Sandra Kuck

Daddy how I miss you
More and more each day
Things have never been the same
Since you went away.

Doesn't seem that many years
You went to heaven above
I didn't want to part with you
How strong it was, our love.

You were forever a Christian
You always helped your friends
You loved your family and your God
Right up to the very end.

I know Dad you are with me
You and Mom together again
Until I come to be with you
Things will never be the same.

But God had other plans you see
Yes this I know is true
This is a way to show my love
Someday I'll be with you.
