She stood upon the balcony
Singing songs of heavenly bliss
As the young couple sat in the garden
Sharing their engagement kiss.
Being so happy, as he put on her ring
She noticed something so beautifully white,
Against the grass of emerald green
There lay the most beautiful feather
Their eyes had ever seen.

As the man sat all alone
Upon the rivers edge,
There she whispered of love so true
As to God his soul he pledged.
Watching in total silence
As the most beautiful feather
Gently danced and floated down
Landing is his lap.
As he sat there on the ground
On that day there was no wind,
Nor a single breeze to be found;
Only the wind beneath the wings
Of an Angel, now Heaven bound.

She sat beside the bed
Holding the ill woman's hand,
Whispering words of comfort...unheard
As the woman said,
"Dear God, heal me if you can."
Then as she opened her teary eyes
She felt something gently touch her cheek;
The most beautiful white feather,
Her eyes would ever behold,
From an Angel that gave some comfort
A gentle hand to hold.

The mother and child went to the park
With shovel and pail in hand,
There they would laugh and play
While digging in the sand.
As the angel sat and watched
Whispering words of love so kind;
As the child climbed upon her knee
Saying, "Mommy, look at what I've got,
The most beautiful feather from Heaven,
Daddy loves us both a lot!"

So if some day you are walking
A feather you have found,
Pick it up and look at it
Don't leave it on the ground.
It could be from an Angel
Sent to you from Heaven above,
Whispering words of kindness and comfort
Singing songs of eternal love.
