Standing on the threshold of becoming a man,
The Lord called him home, for He had a plan.
The silence slipped in and took him away,
one hot, sunny, summer day.
A passenger in a car too fast,
no broken bones for them to cast.
The world changed for all involved,
no good-byes, no words... not even a nod.
He had a shy and gentle smile,
he dressed in OP's... just his style.
He was filled with hopes and dreams,
just like every wide-eyed teen.
He came into life holding a hand,
they nick-named him "Little Man."
A mechanic was what he wanted to be,
a dream he never got to see.
A month and three days before he turned seventeen,
he ascended to Heaven on angels wings.
Family with him and by his side,
we'll see him again so this isn't good-bye.
We're thankful for the time he shared,
with all of those who loved and cared.
He touched our lives and left his mark,
on each and every knowing heart.
He was a son, a brother, a twin,
an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and a friend.
Forever in our hearts he'll stay,
his angelic face... we'll see again someday.

This candle burns in memory for all those whose lives
have been taken tragically through auto accidents.
I pray God's healing love to be with those who are left
to mourn the loss of loved ones.
